Kysre Rae Gondrezick, born July 27, 1997, is an American professional basketball player who has made waves in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Despite her young age, Gondrezick has faced and triumphed over significant mental health challenges, inspiring many with her story of resilience.

A Promising Career

Gondrezick played college basketball for the University of West Virginia, where she showcased her exceptional skills. In her four years at West Virginia, she averaged 16.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. She also played internationally for Team USA, winning a gold medal at the 2017 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.

WNBA Debut and Mental Health Struggles

Gondrezick entered the WNBA draft in 2021 and was selected 15th overall by the Indiana Fever. However, during her rookie season, she made the difficult decision to step away from the league for mental health reasons. In a statement, she revealed her struggles with anxiety, depression, and body dysmorphia.
