Judy Aldrich, an 81-year-old Miami resident, met her favorite player, Cubs rookie Christopher Morel, after a game and asked to pay for his necklace. Morel surprised the lifelong fan by giving her the necklace and thanking her for her support.

Aldrich has been a fan of Morel's since he was called up to the majors earlier this season. She has been to several Cubs games to watch him play.

"He's a great player," Aldrich said. "I love watching him play. He's so exciting to watch."

Morel was touched by Aldrich's gesture. He said he was happy to give her the necklace as a way to show his appreciation for her support.

"She's a great fan," Morel said. "I'm so grateful for her support. I'm glad I could make her day."
